layla is a brand new restaurant in the heart of santa monica on ocean ave with a great view of the water. we are a french and middle eastern influenced restaurant that uses mainly wood and charcoal for our cooking. our ideal candidate is a hardworking, focused and organized individual with an attention to detail and a high standard of excellence to provide the best possible experience to our guests. This candidate would have experience in a similar role. leadership, creativity, organization, a passion for cooking at a high level and experience cooking with wood fire and charcoal is must for this position. duties included for the position are managing food stock and inventory, managing kitchen staff and making sure kitchen is ready for service everyday on time, contacting suppliers and ordering proteins and vegetables for the restaurant, input on menu development for Layla and the bar snack program for the rooftop bar. ideal candidate will have a good attitude and foster a healthy and fun workplace environment while maintaining a professional attitude and execution of service to the highest standard possible.
