Job Description
As a rapidly expanding personal injury law firm, we are in need of an energetic, reliable and dedicated paralegal to join our growing team. The paralegal will support attorneys' with summons and complaints, Bill of Particulars, drafting, researching, and storing client information.
Our mid-sized Manhattan law firm specializes in construction accidents, traumatic injury cases and medical malpractice. The paralegal will be working in our personal injury and construction accident division.
The ideal candidate has two years of personal injury experience, can draft summons and complaints, has Bill of Particular knowledge and can multitask.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Record and store client information
Qualifications:
- Previous experience ( at least two years) as a paralegal or other legal field
- At least two years of personal injury experience
- Familiarity with legal research
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
