Overview

Do you want to help make a difference in your community? The Human and Economic Health Department is hiring a Housing Program Specialist!

This position will work with the Housing Program Coordinator to successfully administer the Landlord Engagement Program and other housing initiatives. The Landlord Engagement program is a strategic initiative aimed at fostering positive relationships between landlords and local housing service providers. The program focuses on engaging landlords as partners in providing safe and affordable housing options for individuals and families in Larimer County. The program is also involved outreach and education, landlord recruitment, landlord support, tenant placement, and relationship building.

The Housing Program Specialist will support the administrative needs of the Landlord Engagement Program including data entry, customer service, and consistent external communications and engagement. The typical schedule will be 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, with the potential for some hybrid/remote work after the initial training period.

Responsibilities

Specifically this position:

  • Performs thorough and complete data entry
  • Coordinates schedules
  • Performs partner software training
  • Assists with creation of and distribution of a program newsletter
  • Completes regular phone calls to potential participants
  • Administers semi-annual and annual electronic surveys to landlords/property managers to identify satisfaction and gather feedback for program evaluation

We are looking for a candidate that will:

  • Have experience in routine software and business applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software and databases
  • Demonstrate exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effectively respond to conflict situations
  • Ideally have two years of experience working in a housing-related field
  • Possess professional customer service skills
  • Have strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

Qualifications

All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.

  • Two (2) years in a directly related field or performance of similar duties.
  • Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
