Job ResponsibilitiesWith our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.This position is with the SC Department of Mental Health, Beckman Mental Health Center, Abbeville County Clinic, providing school-based services.Under general supervision, you will provide treatment services to children, adolescents and their families. Mental Health Services will be provided in a culturally competent manner, which will include, but not be limited to, assessment, crisis management, individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy.Minimum and Additional RequirementsMinimum Requirements -A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.Agency Requirements: Must qualify for credentialing and privileging as a mental health professional and in accordance with Quality Assurance standards and with concurrence by DMH Office of Quality Management.Note: If any Agency Requirements are listed above, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position.Preferred QualificationsPreferred: One year post master's experience.Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.Additional CommentsThe South Carolina Department of Mental Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity Agency.
