Staff Accountant

Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do:

• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures
• Analyze financial statements to provide financial insight to senior leadership
• Prepare gross margin analysis
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and account progressions
• Reconcile bank statements and record payrolls, interest, and bank charges
• Assist with intercompany cash settlement and transactions with foreign subsidiaries
• Contribute to pricing team in developing and proposing pricing decisions
• Calculate transfer pricing for new parts/options
• Maintain Fixed Asset tracking system
• Support the annual external audit and tax preparation cycles
• Develop monthly estimate process and support forecasting initiatives throughout the year
• Conduct or assist in special accounting projects and ad-hoc requests
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge required to perform job duties effectively.

• Participates - suggests and assists in implementation for process improvements in accordance with industry best practices.
• Cross-trains for vacation coverage within the Accounting Team:
  • Support Accounts Payable processes
  • Support Accounts Receivable processes
  • Support Credit and Collections processes
  • Support other areas of Accounting Team as needed

What are We Looking For? (Requirements)

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a minimum of two years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Working experience in ERP systems; SAP preferred
• Ability to create and document standard work procedures, develop quality checks, and evaluate results
• Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of associates
• Must have good multi-tasking skills
• Must be self-motivated, analytical, and organized with a high attention to detail

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors in Accounting - 3.0 GPA in core subject
• Consider Bachelors in Finance with strong accounting curriculum

Desired Skills:

• ERP system experience a plus
• Prefer accounting experience in manufacturing environment
