Horticulture industry engagement and leadership maintained through routine travel, meetings, and industry events. Maintains key account relationships. 5. Daily interaction with sales managers with focus on planning and executing the sales process, travel, customer support and resolution, product knowledge, industry knowledge, and pricing theory. 6. Ability to generate reports from ERP data (Excell driven) to generate SKU and account specific strategy. 7. Weekly collaboration with production manager and other Senior Managers on scheduling, logistics, product needs, profitability, and overall Company strategy. 8. Responsible for establishing the budget for sales growth in new and existing accounts and channels. 9. Manages the marketing strategy and budget, including trade shows, print and digital advertising, website, and marketing associates. 10. Engages in top-to-top meetings with industry influencers, such as Big Box retailers, brands, and greenhouse/nursery ownership. 11. Provides input to the development of new products for sales growth, such as new product ideas and ROI justification. 12. Develops business diversification strategy and works with manager and production team to grow diversified revenue. Qualifications: 1. 10 years of relevant sales management responsibility. 2. Bachelor’s degree. Plastics packaging industry or horticulture industry experience. 3. Working knowledge of ERP systems. 4. Excellent communication, time management, and strategy development. 5. Excellent with Talent Management concepts. Supervisory Responsibility Supervises: All sales managers, customer service team, marketing manager, and business development manager. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a salary full-time position. Hours may vary depending on business needs and projects. Core Days/Hours are Mon-Fri 8-5 with some evening and weekend hours needed to meet deadlines and close deals. Travel may include up to 75% .
