OPERATIONS ANALYST

• This is a contract position (one year with two, one year options)
• Experience in Utility Industry REQUIRED (Electric, Gas, Water, Cable, Etc.)
• This is NOT an IT position
• ONLY applicants that have completed the Microsoft Excel Skills Assessment will be considered.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required (must be demonstrated)

This position conducts basic to moderate operational tasks to assist a major utility company in measuring and improving work performance in order to meet operational and financial objectives. This includes development and implementation of methods to measure work performance, foster cost savings, and improve efficiency. Maintains compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Works under moderate supervision, with regular review of completed assignments.

Essential Duties

• Must be proficient in use and all aspects of Microsoft Excel (Must provide Skills Test Results)
• Development of methods to measure work performance in each operating district
• Coordinates with electric operating districts to ensure Operations, Maintenances, and Administrative General (OMAG) and Capital and Expenditures (CAPEX) for distribution and transmission work is efficiently scheduled and completed.
• Develops methods and processes to provide more accurate OMAG and CAPEX expenditure forecasts.
• Coordinate ongoing data collection and tracking of unit cost work
• Support electric operating districts in the development and submittal of Authorized Fund Expenditures (AFE)
• Ensures the accuracy of data generated by the electric work and asset management processes
• Understands and recommends changes to electric operations business processes and systems to improve efficiencies, accuracy, and customer service
• Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
