Description
Lake Trucking is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR operations of our company, including payroll, benefits, employee relations, and more.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain the payroll system, including administering the Paylocity platform
• Administer employee benefits, such as health insurance, COBRA, short term disability, and other benefits
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
• Process weekly payroll and drivers sign on bonuses
• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy and completeness
• Recruitment process, including posting job openings and sourcing candidates
• Oversee employee onboarding and orientation
• Address employee issues and provide guidance on employee relations
• Handle employee disciplinary matters and grievances
• Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives
• Analyze and report on HR metrics
• Stay up to date on the latest HR trends and best practices
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
• At least 5–7 years of proven experience as an HR Manager
• Must have HR systems experience using Paylocity
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional certification (e.g. PHR/SHRM-CP) is a plus
