Position: Center Lead Assistant

The Center Lead Assistant will support the Center Instructor & Director in a variety of instructional and center management tasks. The Lead Assistant would help employees run the day-to-day operations at the tutoring center, be in charge of daily scheduling, conduct new parent orientations, and conduct parent conferences to discuss their child’s progress. They would also be in contact with nearby schools and creating new marketing ideas. Detailed job responsibilities are described below.

Work hours: Mondays - Thursdays

Description:

Administration/Front Desk:

• Conduct Parent Orientations and Assessment of child
• Conduct Parent Conferences
• Answer incoming phone calls
• Communicate With students and parents during class-time, addressing student and parental needs, professionally, and quickly
• Book Center Appointments
• Assist with the enrollment process and preparing student files
• Relay messages and Parental concerns to the Instructor in a timely manner
• Develop own knowledge of Kumon method and worksheets

Marketing:

• Assist with marketing initiatives and retention events (ex: student awards ceremony, social media campaigns, etc.)
• Run social media
• Contact nearby schools for events, fundraisers, carnivals etc.

• Have strong written and verbal communication skills (e.g. phone calls, emails, etc.).

• Prioritize tasks and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Have strong follow-up with clients
• Have strong recording and reporting skills (notes of any news or changes to share with Director)
• Be comfortable with children and adults alike
• Be pleasant and patient
• Represent the Kumon brand with professionalism and passion
• Have basic computer skills and be adaptable to new technology
• Be organized, attention to detail
• Be able to meet deadlines
• Have experience with social media management

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
