Kuakini Medical Center Description of Position
Supervises the food service activities in the preparation and service of food for patients, staff, and visitors. Monitors food service system for conformance with standards in food production and service, sanitation, safety, and security.
Assists with teaching and training employees through orientation and inservices.
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of a food service course from a community college or college / university with a major in Institutional Administration or Food Science and Human Nutrition required;
course work must include subjects such as sanitation, hygiene, quantity food preparation, supervisory techniques, estimating and purchasing food.
Work experience in supervising food production for six months to one year may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
Salary Range $58,245 $60,575
