US Army Installation Management Command is Hiring a Food Service Worker Supervisor, NS-02 Near Honolulu, HI

Duties

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS:
Works under the direction of an activity manager, who provides general instructions, standard procedures and policies and relies on the incumbent to control work operations and accomplish an adequate quality of work. Work is reviewed for efficient and economical accomplishment of assigned tasks within priorities and controls received.
MAJOR DUTIES:
Serves as a working supervisor over the assigned work area exercising supervisory responsibility over employees' work in the area of operation. The occupation and non-supervisory grade level which best reflects the nature of the overall work operation supervised is Food Service Worker, NA-7408-02. Develop and implement internal methods and procedures, plans and control efficient operation. Assist in the personnel administration procedures of the supervised employees. Responsible for operations in absence of top supervisor and maintains clean, sanitary conditions at all times.
PLANNING:
Plans the use of workers, equipment, facilities and materials on a day-to-day or project-to-project basis. Adhere to work priorities, project schedules, resources and detailed work plans established by supervisor. Tracks and report progress on work assignments and requests authority to adjust worker assignments and to use equipment and materials to meet schedules. Recommends changes to schedules, priorities and work sequences as necessary and makes minor deviations in procedures or redirect resources to overcome problems such as unplanned absences.
WORK DIRECTION:
Assigns work and provides technical direction; helps in accomplishing difficult work steps. Observes work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems; reassigns personnel and coordinates work among the workforce. Inspects completed work for quality and production. Reports possible or actual work delays to higher level supervisor.
ADMINISTRATION:
Supports and explains management programs to subordinates. Recommends performance ratings, training, disciplinary actions, changes in performance and the most suitable applicants for vacancies. Investigates grievances and complaints, resolves them informally and notifies supervisors of those of a serious nature. Assures safety and housekeeping procedures and practices are observes. Maintains work reports and records.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience and training that provide the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position consistent with accepted practices of the trade. Ability to use and maintain appropriate tools and equipment. Ability to read, understand and apply instruction and other materials related to the job. Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise.
Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume. Government positions must include Pay Plan, Series, Grade, To and From dates, and Government Agency/Department. All qualification requirements must include experience performing duties in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level.
