Koo Chinese academy is Hiring an Administrative Secretary Near Basking Ridge, NJ

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 1:30 pm - 6:30 pm, and/or Saturday 12:45 pm - 5:45 pm

Normally works 30 - 40 hours a week with admin work.

Role and Responsibilities

Seeking a upbeat and self-motivated individual to work as an administrative secretary in our Learning Center.

1. Serves as the receptionist, answers and responds to telephone and in-person inquiries from local schools, students, parents, and the public.

2. Coordinate with teachers, counselors and drivers to maintain an orderly and safe after-school environment for kids.

3. Maintain attendance records for students and staff. Contact parents concerning absences and illness of students.

4. Create and update records and files for student information.

5. Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Fluent in English.
  • 2 years of administrative secretary working experience in a childcare or educational setting.
  • 2 years of experience in managing elementary school-age students in a childcare or educational setting.
  • A Team Player and A Faster Learner.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel) is required.
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
