We are hiring an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. The role involves supporting various accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, general ledger entries, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should possess a strong grasp of accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: Full Time (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Location: Cypress, CA (onsite)
Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000
Employee Status: Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including deposits, collections, and reconciliations.
• Serve as a backup for order processing to ensure accurate and timely customer order handling.
• Conduct accounts payable analysis and reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements and sales tax collection.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies in financial reporting.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and provide support to auditors.
• Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (formulas and functionality)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Accounting software used is Navision (preferred, not required)
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
