POSITION TITLE: Micro Enterprise Program Manager II

COMPENSATION: $33.65-$36.50

Position Summary:
The Micro Enterprise Program Manager II will be responsible for the overall build out and implementation of the micro enterprise program. This newly introduced program empowers aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved communities to launch their own food-related product or businesses. The Micro Enterprise Program Manager II will collaborate with a diverse team, including chefs, business mentors, and community partners, to create a supportive ecosystem for these budding food entrepreneurs.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Refine and implement the Micro-Enterprise program curriculum, ensuring it aligns with our mission and goals.
- Lead collaboration efforts - with subject matter experts to create engaging content that covers culinary skills, business fundamentals, and entrepreneurship.
- Coordinate, manage, and schedule subject matter experts as guest speakers.
- Ensure participant data is properly collected and maintained within Sales Force (CRM) per funder and program requirements.
- Using data driven insights monitor program operations for quality, efficiency, effectiveness and make adjustments to enhance program outcomes.
- Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting program impact and areas for improvement.
- Manage and participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of program participants.
- Create, modify, update, and implement program-related policies, procedures, and SOPs as needed.
- Responsible for managing procurement of program supplies and expenses ensuring they are maintained within program budget.
- Provide personalized guidance and mentorship to program participants, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their business goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local community organizations, government agencies, and industry partners and experts.
- Work closely with other program managers and staff to contribute to cross-functional initiatives and participate in strategic planning discussions.
- Serve as a member of the Micro-Enterprise Committee and prepare requested materials for committee members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business administration, public administration, entrepreneurship), preferred.
- 5 years of proven experience in program development, implementation, and management, preferably in entrepreneurship or community development.
- Experience in e-commerce sales preferred.
- Knowledge of workforce or industry trends in the food service and hospitality industry, highly desirable.
- Passion for social impact and a commitment to empowering individuals through food-related enterprises.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 15 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Since this is a new program, scheduling will vary based on program needs. Schedule will be defined upon assessment and implementation of program; however, evening and weekend shifts will be expected. The position is eligible for the organization’s hybrid work policy, which would allow the individual to work from home 2 days a week and the remaining in the office.
Travel:
Employee will be expected to travel to as needed, to additional KFG locations and throughout San Diego for networking opportunities. Employee must have a driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work across multiple sites.
