The hosts have an important function in our restaurants. They are the very first contact that our guests have with us, so they are responsible for creating a great first impression. They set the tone for the entire experience. Our guests must be greeted with a genuine smile and in a professional way by our Host, who is also there to provide them with immediate direction and information.
Our Hosts welcome guests into the restaurant. Greet and seat each guest using hospitality and graciousness in guest interactions. Seats the dining room in a manner befitting the restaurant and controls the flow of the dining room in a way that can provide optimal service for our guests while maintaining high energy in the restaurant and maximizing covers. Performs duties in a pleasant, conscientious, fun, energetic, and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction. The host stand can sometimes become a hectic area. With guests coming and going, checking on tables, taking, confirming, and seating reservations, answering the telephone, and communicating with staff that is looking for information, it takes great patience and organizational skills to handle this position.
The organization at the host stand will determine the overall flow of the dining room and the kitchen. The primary responsibilities are to greet, promptly seat guests, plan for reservations, coordinate seating of walk-in guests, answer the telephone, give guests an overall wonderful experience, and leave a positive lasting impression
