What you’ll do…
As our Design Manager, you will be immersed in KIND’s dynamic, fast-paced culture. This role will require you to have a strong advanced understanding of design and extraordinary project management skills. In this role, you will be a critical part of the design team in ensure that design & brand guardrails are met and that projects are delivered with quality and on time with. You will help lead, manage and oversee projects and asset libraries, while collaborating with internal and external partners.
This is how you’ll do it…
1. Design* Create high quality brand design solutions in fast paced environment. The Design Manager to oversee Sales/Trade Marketing design requests and support marketing, packaging & other company needs. * Ensure all creative requests, whether large or small, fit within brand guidelines of the company while meeting the expectations of the requester. * Create production ready files for print. * Comfortable translating brand strategy and brand architecture into design and provide solutions through a variety of channels. * Work to establish and execute creative vision for print & packaging.
2. Creative Brand Management * Oversee internal creative library, ensuring items are up-to-date at all times. * Manage library of packaging assets and photography on Design Server & DAM. * Oversee creative for swag & wearable items, and collaborate cross functionally on sourcing. * Partner with cross functional team members to ensure that design is delivered with quality, on-brand and on time.* Serve as design team liaison for Omni/GS1 needs and process between E-comm & SGK
3. Packaging & displays * Support Design Director & Packaging Production Designer on design/execution of innovation * Support Design Director with photoshoots & retouching. * Oversee and/or design productivity projects, line extension, adaptation & club pack requests * Help manage print production process for packaging & displays (using internal and external resources). * Review color targets, swatches & EPSONS for color accuracy. * Manage printer drawdowns. * Proof/review packaging in third party proofing tool * Attend virtual or in-person press runs as needed.
4. * 5-7 years of experience in Design, Creative and/or Packaging Design * Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is required * Experience & ability to design within brand guidelines is required * Experience with project management is required * Experience with CPG Packaging Design is required * Experience with food photography, composition and retouching is required * Experience with digital design * Knowledge of printing methods, photography & illustration * Solid organizational, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and time management skills * Personal commitment to quality * Work well with tight deadlines in a team environment * Able to manage projects from start to finish with minimal supervision is required * Effectively communicates (verbally and written) with internal and external stakeholders across all levels
