Our Richmond, VA office is seeking a Site Civil Engineering Practice Builder. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and qualified individual with a proven track record of design and construction experience in a variety of private and public land development and capital improvement projects in Richmond and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:Individual will be responsible for all aspects of project design for residential, commercial and industrial site development and capital improvement projects including site layout, Conceptual Site Plans, Preliminary Plans of Subdivision, Site Plans, Engineering Construction Documents.
Qualifications:This person will perform project design duties in coordination with a team of support staff to develop detailed planning documents for construction projects. The ideal candidate will complement the current team by providing additional detailed design and construction experience and by adding project management depth. Must be experienced in technical design and theory for support of department manager and office manager in planning and design of complex projects. Experienced individual must be capable of delivering projects that meet technical requirements on time and within budget. Must have the ability to coordinate project submittals, facilitate regulatory agency approvals, and obtain construction permits. Senior staff is expected to manage design for multiple projects, assist department manager with marketing and proposal efforts and project management duties as well as oversee, train and mentor junior/mid-level staff. Candidates should have the ability to work closely with clients and agency staff, including attendance at public and/or construction meetings and also represent the company at other events as needed. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PE in Virginia
