RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Events Coordinator in New York, NY.
Overview:
As an Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing various aspects of Tech Week, Company Tech's annual week-long internal event that brings together technology enthusiasts, industry leaders, and innovative thinkers from around the globe. Your role involves collaborating with vendors, managing logistics, and ensuring the seamless execution of this high-profile event. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create an exceptional experience for attendees. The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of the full Microsoft Office suite, be adept at problem-solving and multi-tasking under time-sensitive conditions and be willing to act independently to keep the project on track.
Key Responsibilities:
* Events Coordinator will collaborate with the Tech Week team to develop event concepts, themes, and objectives
* Coordinate all logistical aspects, including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual requirements
* Ensure smooth event setup, execution, and teardown in NYC
* Manage event timelines and schedules
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with session owners, vendors, and other stakeholders
* As an Events Coordinator, you will liaise with vendors during the planning process to ensure everything aligns with the event's vision
* Gather feedback from attendees, sponsors, and team members
* Evaluate the success of the event and identify areas for improvement
* Prepare post-event reports and recommendations
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree
* Proven experience (at least 2-3 years) in event coordination or planning
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
