Key Recovery and Life Skills Center is excited to announce the introduction of our new trauma-informed, evidence-based long-term residential treatment facility in King County.

We are seeking a motivated and passionate SUD Clinical Supervisor with a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference!

Job Summary

The SUD Clinical Supervisor is responsible for clinical and administrative oversight of the SUDP and SUDPT counselors, and implementation of the clinical treatment program, training, and documentation. Ensure the treatment services provided to each patient provided by the SUDP/Ts is appropriate for their individual care and meets ASAM, SAMHSA, WAC/RCW and CARF requirements. Implements new changes to program services and manages the clinical treatment hours and the daily tasks of the SUDP/Ts. Coordinates SUDP/Ts schedules to ensure patient services are provided effectively.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provide direct supervision on a regular basis depending on certification status (weekly for SUDPTs) and conduct staff evaluations, development plans/ performance improvement plans and supervise counselor productivity. Provide training to counselors on Evidence Based Practices, Trauma Informed Care, and clinical documentation. Reviews, monitors and assures strict compliance for all required clinical documentation, policies and procedure and is completed in a thorough and timely manner per organization standards. Role model appropriate solution-focused and strength-based behavior. Advocate for and demonstrate Key Recovery’s commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Ensure Key Recovery’s policy and procedures are followed and ensure clinical compliance.

Required Education and Experience

  • Must have a Washington State Department of Health certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP)
  • Preferred Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • Must meet the SUD Approved Supervisor requirements according to WAC 246-811-049.
  • Required minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proven supervisory and leadership abilities.
  • Skill and experience in working with a wide range of SUD and behavioral health disorders
  • Skilled at presenting problems and communicating effectively with collateral organizations having contact with the patient and/or the family
  • Early intervention and prevention as well as evidence-based effective treatment.
  • Ability to work well independently is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, community mental health systems and resources within King County is highly desirable. Because of the nature of the target population, experience with ethnic/cultural diversity is preferred.

No history of misuse of alcohol or other drugs for a minimum of one year priorto employment with Key Recovery.

The work is typically performed in an office environment, with a moderate noise level. To perform the job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear on the telephone and in person with individuals and groups. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug and TB screen, in addition candidates must have successful outcomes of a criminal background check to work around children and vulnerable adults and job reference checks. All candidates for employment must have a current driver license and be insurable to drive a company vehicle. Must have CPR/First Aid certification or be able to get certified within 30 days of hire.
