Kemper CPA Group LLP, a top 100 public accounting firm, is a multifaceted regional CPA firm with 26 offices in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and California. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Learning and Development Specialist in our Evansville, Indiana office. The Learning and Development Specialist is a position with Kemper CPA Group LLP’s Administrative Services Department in Evansville, Indiana. The Learning & Development Specialistprovides strategic and “hands-on” leadership and implementation of the L&D functions at Kemper CPA Group. The ideal candidate is a flexible and positive team playerseeking to actively contribute to and support the growth of the firm and the Kemper team. Job Duties Maintain an attitude and philosophy consistent with the firm’s standards. Develop effective relationships within the organization to have influence and impact on employee development efforts. Maintain an awareness of firm culture and morale. Stay abreast of trends in the public accounting profession. Develop, initiate, and manage effective live and virtual programs to enhance employee skills, strengthen the firm, and ensure future success. Develop and oversee the annual calendar and catalog of learning opportunities, including technical, soft skills, and applications training and CPE. Continuously improve learning programs, ensuring relevance. Collect post-event feedback through surveys and implement improvements accordingly. Identify, negotiate with, procure, and manage relationships with external course providers including industry-known experts and thought leaders. Develop individualized learning plans and training that supports a specific team member’s career path as needed or requested. Manage the firm’s Learning Management System, LCvista, to oversee team member compliance with firm Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements and maintain a comprehensive list of team certifications and expertise. Educate eligible team members on the Becker CPA Review Program, assist with enrollment, establish an internal CPA Exam Candidate cohort to assist individuals studying for the exam and encourage successful completion. Serve as a member of the firm’s Training Committee and Continuous Improvement Committee.Serve as a resource for partners and travel to offices when needed. Develop and manage training resources available on the firm’s intranet. Assist others in the Administrative Services Department with various items and/or special projects. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High level of interpersonal skills to interact and build relationships. Excellent oral communication skills. Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills. Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, meeting deadlines, and following through on action items and commitments. Extensive knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite) and ability to operate most standard office equipment. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Required Qualifications/Experience Bachelor’s degree in learning and development,human resources, accounting, or a related field; or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Two to four years of experience in a professional role with individual accountability.
