POSITION SUMMARY 

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Manager of Accounting will supervise general ledger accounting and month-end close in a fast-paced and global corporate environment, and serves as the process leader for entity consolidations and reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Manage and develop a team of general ledger accountants in the performance of corporate accounting in adherence with US GAAP and IFRS where applicable.
• Manage the month-end close and consolidation process for multiple corporate entities concurrently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting schedules.
• Perform complex accounting analysis for non-routine transactions and account reconciliations.
• Ensure monitoring of accounting and financial activities, including revenue, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets and capital projects, and general ledger for accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform accounting processes and other duties as directed.
• Prepare accurate internal reports.
• Drive the continuous improvement and utilization of existing financial systems and accounting processes.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls in a fast-paced and changing global environment to create efficiency and accuracy. Ensure compliance with all financial controls.
• Support internal and external audits to meet schedules.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• 6 years of combined accounting, audit, and consolidations experience in a large-corporation, multiple-entity environment, and or public accounting audit experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel (Pivot tables, complex formulas), Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities
• Thorough understanding of GAAP and ability to apply accounting principles to ensure proper financial statement preparation
• Demonstrate ability to solve problems and offer innovative solutions; not afraid of challenges and learning new skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university
• CPA required
• Public Accounting audit experience strongly preferred
• 6 years in full cycle accounting with progressive responsibility including supervision and management
• Proven experience thriving in a changing and dynamic environment; start-up company experience a plus
• Experience using Microsoft suite of products

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
• Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances, lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items
