Join our team as a Property Manager in Training. Ideal candidate will have some experience in real estate, who is driven their career in property management. Candidate will be part of an immersive training program, working closely with experienced property managers. This role has significant growth and development opportunities and will give candidate the skills and experience needed to transition into a successful Property Manager. Responsibilities to include (but are not limited to):
- Support senior staff in day-to-day operations of a portfolio of managed apartment buildings & associations, including house rules enforcement
- Learn to inspect properties and complete inspection report on a regular basis
- Support senior staff in the management of vendors, building staff and maintenance orders
- Work with senior staff on repair and maintenance oversight projects
- Prepare and distribute emails, notices and other correspondence to residents & others
- Help senior staff address and resolve resident/owner/board requests and work orders
- Help senior staff in the removal of building violations
- Learn and help senior staff assure building adherence to local codes and standard operating procedures for property management
- Maintain digital files and documents and company standard operating procedures and rules of conduct
- Regular pay increases with experience.
Skills and Attributes:
- General knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, façade)
- Desire to learn NYC building codes, local laws, and industry standard operating procedures as they relate to property management
- Desire to learn to manage capital improvement projects
- Must have exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Flexible, with good communication skills and adaptable to fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Google Docs and G suite applications
- Drivers License a plus

- NY Real Estate Salesperson License (preferred, required to become Property Manager)
