K9 Mania Dog Training is Hiring a Kennel Assistant/ Admin Assistant Near Deer Park, NY

K9 Mania Dog Training is urgently seeking a skilled, experienced, and dog-loving Kennel Assistant/ Office Assistant to join our team and play a pivotal role in our new dog training facility! We are particularly interested in candidates who are seeking FULL-TIME work position and also available to work on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).

In addition to maintaining the health and happiness of our furry guests through our Board and Train program, we're also looking for someone with excellent customer service skills. This position will involve frequent interaction with dog owner clients, emphasizing the importance of being a frontliner in ensuring our clients feel welcomed and reassured about their pets' well-being. If you have a passion for dogs and a proven ability in customer service, we want to hear from you!

Your job will include cleaning and disinfecting our kennels. In addition, you can also learn animal care and behavior basics while assisting our team with feeding, grooming, and walking tasks. Having previous experience in a pet care environment, kennel management or customer service is a plus, but we will provide training to the right candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and disinfect the kennels
  • Provide animals with food and water according to our feeding schedule
  • Give animals in our care their medication as directed by veterinarians and vet techs
  • Walk and play with the animals
  • Help with bathing and grooming tasks
  • Dealing with dog owners and clients
  • Client greeting and reception duties

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Experience providing animal care (highly preferred)
  • Must love dogs
  • A flexible schedule
  • Physical ability to work with dogs of various breeds and sizes
  • Kennel Technician Certification or alike (highly preferred)
  • Customer service experience (highly preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Day range:

  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Shift:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
