Jungle Island is Hiring a JUNIOR MARKETING MANAGER Near Miami, FL

Primary Objective of Position

The Junior Marketing Manager role covers the execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to drive website traffic, generate quality leads, increase social media presence and buzz, oversee content creation and management of relevant third-party vendors, and ultimately drive conversations, buzz, and brand recognition, using a full range of marketing channels. The junior marketing manager supports the marketing director and teams in all aspects of the marketing plan execution.

The Junior Marketing Manager is innovative, organized, aware of current and ongoing trends, is social media savvy, and works collaboratively across departments to conceptualize and implement marketing initiatives.

Objectives of this Role

  • Develop and establish marketing positioning, identify target audiences, and formulate marketing plans with precise objectives across different channels and segments, tailored to our zoo, botanical garden, and adventure park.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs, promoting internal collaboration and leveraging cross-departmental support.
  • Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to create effective social media strategies for our diverse attractions.
  • Create and maintain a compelling content library that highlights the unique experiences offered by our Zoo, Botanical Garden, and Adventure Park.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Creative Team to develop creative initiatives and guide the direction for communications, including print, digital, and video assets, emphasizing the diverse experiences of the Zoo, Botanical Garden, and Adventure Park.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the production of annual events (e.g., Easter, Mother’s Day, 4th of July, Seasonal Festivals, Halloween, etc.) tailored to the unique offerings of our facility.
  • Manage purchasing and sourcing for the marketing department, ensuring alignment with our brand and visitor experience.
  • Work closely with the Public Relations team to fulfill media requests and initiatives, highlighting our facility's unique aspects.
  • Oversee third-party photography and video vendors to create ongoing promotional content for our diverse attractions.
  • Manage social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn), focusing on growing engagement and followers with content specific to our Zoo, Botanical Garden, and Adventure Park.
  • Collaborate with the Animal Care and Adventure Teams, alongside the graphic design team, to create captivating content for social media.
  • Lead the outreach program to develop personal relationships with key stakeholders, promoting the unique experiences of our combined facility.
  • Manage external vendors, onsite shoots, events, and promotional opportunities, showcasing the best of our Zoo, Botanical Garden, and Adventure Park.
  • Plan and oversee the overall marketing strategy, achieving set goals and benchmarks.
  • Ensure timely and budget-aligned execution of launch action plans and marketing projects.
  • Contribute significantly to enhancing the reputation and profitability of our combined Zoo, Botanical Garden, and Adventure Park.

Physical Demands

  • This position may require additional shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays.
  • This position requires standardized office hours and may require additional offsite responsibilities to fulfill duties

Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience and Bachelor in related field.
  • Or 5 years’ experience in a related field.
  • An observant, highly flexible individual with a positive and creative outlook is preferred for this continually evolving position.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong willingness to grow in a fast-paced environment.
