As a member of AWM Finance and Business Management, you are an integral part of our efforts to strategically manage capital, lead growth and efficiencies, maintain financial reporting and proactively manage risk. By providing information, analysis and recommendations to improve results and lead decisions, our teams ensure the company can navigate all types of market conditions while protecting our fortress balance sheet.

As a Controller at JPMorgan, you will work with our international team of accounting professionals and focus on ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the Firm’s books and records, with an emphasis on general ledger, operating systems and infrastructure controls across the entire lifecycle of the business. 

Job responsibilities: 

• Legal entity cash management
• Balance sheet reconciliation,
• Inter-entity control & governance, 
• Manual accounting / bookings to the General Ledger,
• Analyze, communicate, and resolve material variances between the actual and expected financial results,
• Preparation of assigned entities’ financial statements,
• Prepare data for use in regulatory filings,
• Identify and implement opportunities for efficiency.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 6 years of related experience 
• Public accounting experience/CPA/MBA a plus
• Experience with financial reporting and month-end close responsibilities
• Able to build and maintain partnerships within the various product aligned businesses and across other corporate financial, treasury, and accounting groups
• Strong analytical skills; able to quickly understand workings of a complex processing system and general ledger systems across the infrastructure and their interrelationships and dependencies

Candidates must be able to physically work in our Columbus, OH office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.
