We are the prime manufacturer in the Design Manufacture Construct (DMC) system. We manufacture buildings in chunks that can be transported and assembled on site into complex buildings quickly. We have over 700 employees, eleven production lines and have experienced significant growth through 2023.

Our organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Operations Manager to join our Manufacturing team. This individual will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facilities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing principles, leadership, construction, and experience with highly complex, high mix, low volume manufacturing. This role requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
2. Develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.
3. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic manufacturing planning initiatives.
4. Manage the production schedule to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
5. Monitor and evaluate the performance of production and quality control systems to identify issues and make necessary improvements.
6. Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment.
7. Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
8. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
9. Work closely with quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement.
10. Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 15 years of experience in a manufacturing operations management role.
3. Proven track record of successfully implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
6. In-depth knowledge of production management and understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
7. Experience in construction and managing highly complex, high mix, low volume manufacturing environments.
8. Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
9. Ability to multitask and manage multiple processes at once.
10. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.
