Qualifications:
Operations Manager (Exempt)
The Operations Manager will provide administrative oversight and overall leadership and management of the residential programs at Hill Crest BHS. He/she will assist the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing and Director of Clinical Services with the implementation of objectives and policies and assist in developing and implementing proposals for new and existing business. Invlovment with the strategic planning, organization, direction and implementation of the same, control, and evaluation of designated services and programs providing direct care or services in a multi-disciplinary environment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Bachelor’s degree required from service related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Three or more years of operational experience in mental health field and/or hospital management.
  • Must demonstrate excellent intervention skills, strong interpersonal skills, self-direction and motivation.
  • Basic clerical skills, basic experience with office equipment.
  • Ability to problem solve effectively and accept feedback when circumstances warrant such actions.
  • General knowledge of all hospital programs and admission criteria.
  • Adheres to regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of health care services, mental health and clinical delivery systems and treatment program requirements.
DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of admission criteria for adolescents and utilizes this knowledge at all times when completing assessments, admissions or referrals.
  • Demonstrates a good knowledge of developmental stages of childhood and adolescence and is able to apply this knowledge during assessments/referrals.
  • Demonstrates good knowledge of signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and mental abuse in adolescents; always follows established protocols in documenting and reporting such abuse.
  • Performs routine systems analysis by department and job function to determine current relevance for operation.
  • Communicates and collaborates with all disciplines in the facility and promotes a positive attitude with clinical services and the medical staff.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
