Seeking an experienced attorney to join our team. You will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance across the organization. You will work closely with company leadership and key stakeholders to advise on sales contracts, identify and manage legal risks, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and represent the company in legal matters.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and guidance to the organization on a wide range of legal issues, including but not limited to contract negotiations, employment law, intellectual property, and litigation.
Work closely with the sales teams to advise on sales agreements, refine templates and reduce contracting timeframes.
Manage legal risks by identifying and addressing potential legal issues before they become major problems.
Ensure the company's compliance with laws and regulations by staying up to date on changes in the law and advising the company on its legal obligations.
Advise on disputes including management of outside counsel where required.
Draft, negotiate and review wide range of legal documents, including sales and vendor contracts, leases, and other agreements.
Develop company policies and implement compliance procedures related to all legal issues.
Collaborate with outside counsel as needed to address legal issues outside of the in-house attorney's expertise.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in New York or Massachusetts.
At least 3 years of legal experience, preferably a mix of private practice and in-house.
Strong knowledge of corporate law, contracts, employment law, intellectual property law, and litigation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Travel Required: Occasional travel required
