Jillbee Delivers Inc is Hiring an Executive Chef Near Campbell, CA

Jillbee Delivers is a Corporate Catering company, serving breakfast and lunch as well as catering events. We offer a full-service breakfast and lunch buffet with a menu that changes daily. We are located in Campbell, CA.

We are searching for an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team. 

The Executive Chef at this level needs to ensure that each day’s production and finished meals reflect the highest quality of flavor, texture, appearance and safety. Managing a kitchen staff in the catering industry involves effective communication, organization, and leadership. The expectations of Executive Chef include: clearly defining kitchen and ordering roles and responsibilities, establishing open and positive communication channels, setting expectations, leading by example, and providing training as needed. We expect this individual to foster a positive work environment, address conflicts promptly, and prioritize teamwork, as well as regularly assess performance, provide encouragement and mentorship, and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Adaptability and strong leadership are keys to success in the dynamic environment. 

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged. High volume catering or high volume food service experience is required. 

General Hours: Sunday-Thursday 5:00 am-1:00 pm 

Salary: 90K plus depending on experience

Responsibilities:

1. Menu Creation and Development: Working with the Director of Operations, design and create innovative weekly menus that align with Jillbee Delivers' concept, target audience, and brand identity. Continuously update and refine the menu offerings based on customer feedback and culinary trends.

2. Culinary Excellence: Demonstrate expertise in culinary techniques, flavor profiles, volume production and food presentation to deliver exceptional meals. Maintain high standards of taste, quality, and consistency in all dishes prepared.

3. Kitchen Management: Lead and manage the kitchen team, including sous chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen staff. Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure a productive and positive work environment.

4. Food Preparation and Execution: Oversee the preparation, cooking, and final completion of meals, ensuring they meet the established quality standards. Monitor and manage food production processes to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery. Recommend staffing adjustments to HR as needed to ensure efficient and quality production. 

5. Quality Control and Food Safety: Establish and enforce strict food safety and sanitation practices to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen. Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

6. Ordering & Inventory Management: Monitor and control food inventory levels, minimizing waste while ensuring sufficient stock for efficient operations. Ensure all products are ordered and delivered in a timely manner. Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and maintain strong vendor relationships. 

7. Cost Control and Budgeting: Collaborate with management to analyze food costs, and develop budgets that optimize profitability without compromising quality. Implement cost-saving measures and efficient kitchen practices as possible. 

8. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the management team and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless operations and effective communication. Coordinate with other departments to meet customer expectations and deliver exceptional service.

9. Culinary Innovation and Trends: Stay updated on the latest culinary trends, techniques, and innovations. Introduce new flavors, dishes, and cooking methods to enhance the Jillbee Delivers' menu and customer experience.

10. Customer Satisfaction: Maintain a customer-centric approach, addressing customer feedback and concerns promptly and professionally. Strive to exceed customer expectations by consistently delivering delicious and visually appealing meals.
