We’re the New Terminal One (NTO) at John F. Kennedy International Airport, a bold and exciting project to develop a world class, international terminal that can serve as a global gateway to the New York metropolitan area and the greater United States. The $9 billion first phase is the largest single asset project financing in US history.
It will be built on sites now occupied by Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and the former Terminal 3, where it will anchor JFK’s south side. Construction will take place in phases, with the first phase, including the new arrivals and departures hall and first set of new gates, expected to open in 2026.
NTO will set a new standard for design and service and aspires to obtain a global Top 5 Skytrax rating as one of the finest ten airport terminals in the world.

Who You Are:
You're a vigilant, detail-oriented individual with a knack for ensuring safety and compliance in high-stakes environments. With a solid background in operational decision-making, preferably within aviation or airport settings, you're adept at navigating regulated environments. Your educational background likely includes a relevant university or college degree, though your experience in safety management speaks volumes. You're well-versed in Safety Management Systems (SMS), accident and incident investigations, auditing, evaluating, and possibly even emergency management and incident command systems.

We're on the hunt for a Safety Manager, a key player in our team who will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and enforcing health and safety plans at the New Terminal One project. This role is not just about following guidelines; it's about being a proactive, analytical thinker who can manage audits, assess safety protocols, and lead post-accident investigations. We need someone who can communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and who is committed to continuous improvement in safety and quality management.
