Vice President – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Jefferies LLC) – Perform financial modeling, business analysis and industry research to advise clients on mergers and acquisitions. Develop sophisticated financial models (including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, sum-of-the parts, pro-forma merger, comparable company, precedent transaction analyses, and financial impact of other strategic alternatives) necessary to evaluate various strategic alternatives for client. Lead execution of M&A advisory mandates and support client coverage with some primary coverage responsibilities. Prepare and participate in delivery of client presentations. Perform financial valuation, discounted cash flow, pro forma merger, precedent transaction, and comparable companies analyses. Analyze detailed corporate and financial information, as well as conduct due diligence. Develop client relationships through deal execution, pitching, and primary/support coverage. Guide and mentor junior bankers in preparation of pitch books and live deal materials, including offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations and prospectuses. Requirements: Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field plus two years of experience in the position offered or in a related role or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field plus five years of post-Bachelor’s progressive experience in the position offered or in a related role. All required experience must have included performing financial modeling, business analysis, and industry research; maintaining and translating broad datasets into user-friendly, useful information; drafting and delivering presentations for C-suite executives; preparing valuation models and projection models; analyzing data sets; utilizing PowerPoint to prepare management and lender presentations; utilizing VBA; and using market data tools and technologies, including Capital IQ and Bloomberg. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York City office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.
