Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the overall operations of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Store Manager in daily operations and management of the store

- Provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaints

- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new team members

- Train and develop team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and store policies

- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock replenishment

- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets

- Oversee cash register operations and ensure accuracy in cash handling

- Collaborate with the Store Manager to create and implement effective visual merchandising displays

- Maintain a clean and organized store environment

Experience:

- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role in a retail environment

- Strong knowledge of retail math and sales management principles

- Proven ability to effectively manage shifts and delegate tasks to team members

- Experience in conducting interviews and making hiring decisions

- Proficient in using cash registers and POS systems

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of Footwear and Apparel sales is a plus
