Responsible for initial field office set up, including all required office equipment, all safety posters and medical facility locations
Work with IT to set up Wi-Fi and office printers
Determine site logistics for site access, temporary roads, fencing, etc. and discuss with Project Manager
Set up temporary electric, water, and sanitary services
Prior to construction, survey and record all adjacent and perimeter site and building elevations
Contact Fire Department, Building Department, neighbors and police prior to construction
Install and maintain project signage and identification
Arrange temporary services, primary surveying and horizontal control, blue stake and permanent utilities turnover
Coordinate testing agencies, assist in obtaining all necessary permits
Establish a schedule of duration of the project with the Project Manager and maintain this schedule for various subcontractor foreman
Conduct start-up/safety/introduction meetings with sub constructors, pre-construction meetings with trades, owners and consultants; weekly coordination meetings with all subcontractors, owner’s architects and consultants
Determine methods of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedules and document actual hours worked
Supervise and train Company employees assigned to the project
Comprehend need for craft labor, schedule, coordinate and supervise activities on the project such as start/end dates, skills required. Coordinate with other project superintendents and general superintendent movement of personnel between project sites
Ensure proper materials are on job site for subcontractor and supplier; schedule and coordinate suitable equipment is available on job site; properly maintain equipment according to manufacturer recommendations
