Director of Finance, manages District’s payroll function; prepares/distributes bi-weekly paychecks; researches/analyzes payroll accts.; prepares/maintains related records & reports. Req: Recommend Bachelor’s degree (Acctg,, Bus. Admin, HR or related field). Min. 3 yrs. exp. processing payroll in gov’t agency highly desired. Strong cust. svc skills & maintain composure dealing w/dissatisfied customers. Extensive knowledge payroll function (incl. prep, balancing, internal controls & payroll tax processing). Excellent org. & attention to detail. Strong/accurate analytical & math skills. Able to interpret business, technical, financial, legal & gov’t regs. Proficient w/Payroll & HRIS software programs & related problem solving. Able to set priorities & meet deadlines. Effectively communicate (in-person/written with staff, benefit providers & public). May require occasional need to work after hours & wknds, as projects dictate. Successful completion of State/Federal background check. Details in job announcement.
