Illinois Tool Works (ITW) is a Fortune 200 company that produces diversified products in global markets. The Food Equipment Group, one of seven ITW decentralized business segments, is seeking a Sales Development Specialist (in office) for the Warewash Division at its Troy, Ohio facility.

The Warewash Business Division produces Hobart brand commercial dishwashers that are used in hotels, casinos, restaurants, cruise ships, schools, universities and retail establishments. We are the industry leader and seeking to expand our growth in existing served markets as well as new markets.

Job Description

Summary:

Reporting to the Sales Development Manager, the Sales Development Specialist will be responsible for creating, leading and communicating various activities to increase organic growth within targeted marketing segments. The candidate will work closely with both internal and external partners requiring professionalism, courtesy and tact. The position requires a highly organized individual that is self-motivated, capable of independent work and able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail. The applicant should have excellent follow-up skills and be team-oriented with the ability to effectively interact with co-workers, customers, salespeople and product line managers. Willingness to travel as needed is essential to success in this role.

What you will do:

  • Manage and communicate sales programs and initiatives to the sales organization.
  • Engage with Customer Care, Credit, Manufacturing and Warewash Technical group.
  • Audit and create material for inter-company sales dealer schools and training classes
  • Follow up with customers and sales representatives on opportunities and results
  • Other responsibilities include conducting surveys, tracking specifications to regularly monitor our competitive climate, supporting product launches, controlling and distributing marketing materials and reporting trends
  • Attend regional & national shows representing Warewash product line
  • Become an expert on Warewash products
  • Ability to communicate product features and benefits to customers, dealers and sales representatives
  • Support SDM during customer interactions
  • Competitive analysis
  • Utilize AutoQuotes to quote equipment, learn product, plus gather and share information

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Foodservice Equipment product knowledge preferred
  • Experience supporting internal and external customers in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM based software

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to plan and coordinate projects as an individual contributor or as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Up to 40% domestic travel
  • Ability to read and decipher quotations and purchase orders
  • Presentation skills
  • Business to business sales experience
