Job Description

This position of the warehouse dock associate will be responsible for operating a sit down or stand-up forklift / reach truck to load and unload trucks, keep dock organized, and put away stock.

Primary Key Responsibilities

• Dock organization
• Loading trucks
• Unloading trucks
• Manage PO’s
• 5s responsibilities
• Putting away stock
• Cross-train with department co-workers to increase the knowledge, flexibility, and efficiency of the overall ITW team.
• Maintains equipment including daily inspections.
• Hold self-accountable to create and maintain a safe working environment.
• Competently perform all tasks with a focus on safety within a fast-paced environment.
• Contributes to team effort by focusing on continuous improvement and success for the entire team.
• From time to time, personnel may be assigned other duties for the purpose of training, additional assistance or for other reasons as needed necessary by management.

Secondary Key Responsibilities

• Order pulling using a stand-up reach truck / forklift
• Printing labels
• Labeling product
• Prepare pallets for shipping
• Wrapping pallets
• Utilize RF scan gun

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related experience
• Experience with operating a forklift
• Basic computer knowledge
• Great organizational and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Effectively communicate in a professional demeanor when dealing with the public or any level of employees.
• Ability to safely work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

• Ability to work in a team environment or independently
• Ability to work overtime

The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

The employee could be exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
