Employ a variety of mathematical disciplines and analytical skills in performing historical research, data analysis, and model optimization studies. Work closely with Quantitative Analysts and assisting in the development, implementation and testing of proprietary models and tools for equity derivatives trading; may supervise indirectly projects outsourced to other departments that were developed by the Quantitative department. Communicate and interact with Technology and Trading Departments to collaborate on projects.

Responsibilities include: aiding in developing quantitative forecasting models and tools used in risk management; preparing and interpreting reports of statistical analysis results, including, but not limited to, graphs and tables; back-testing; enhancing and developing quantitative, systems-based Trading Strategies; and resolving data quality problems, which can entail being able to discern "questionable" data points and contacting appropriate sources to determine its validity.
