Summary:

Island Creek Associates, a professional services firm, is currently seeking a Manager/Operations Manager, Senior at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Act as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contracted effort.
• Serve as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues.
• Oversee contractor execution of the contract requirements.
• Manage acquisition and employment of program/project resources.

Required Education:

MA/MS Degree in Management, Business Management, or other relevant technical discipline with over 10 years of experience.

ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: BA/BS Degree with an additional two (2) years of experience, AA/AS degree and an additional four (4) years of experience, or no degree and an additional six (6) years of experience.

Required Experience:

Over ten (10) years of combined experience performing the duties and responsibilities described above.

Desired Experience:

Over two (2) years’ experience with Group 3 or larger Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Experience in initiating and maintaining technical program objectives related to aircraft systems, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability, managing different phases of weapon system acquisition, familiar with DoD and SECNAV 5000 series instructions.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Normal working hours are 8.5 hours for a standard day (including a 30-minute lunch break) and 9.5 hours for a CWS day (including a 30-minute lunch break), with core hours being 0830 to 1500 each Monday through Friday (except on the legal holidays specified in the basic contract). The contractor has the flexibility to start as early as 0600 and end as late as 1800 Monday through Friday.

Travel:

Some travel to other locations in support of program tasking may be required for this position.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the Secret Level. Ideal candidates will currently possess an Active DoD Secret Clearance; however, candidates with US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance will be considered. Must be able to receive a Government Common Access Card (CAC), access Government systems, and receive a security clearance.
