What You'll Do:

As the Operations Research Analyst, you will support work within NAVAIR's Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program Office, PMA-271. This position will provide support to the E-6B and E-XX programs in support of development, acquisition, certification, modernization, and sustainment efforts across the PMA. The Operations Research Analyst will be responsible for:

• Developing and providing recommendations to sustainment scenarios that could include optimal schedule and/or cost data for program leadership evaluation, review, or implementation
• Facilitating meetings, recording minutes, tracking schedules, and overseeing program risk management actions
• Supporting PMA-271 platform avionics non-recurring engineering (NRE) efforts
• Performing program requirements analysis, timeline analysis, and production capability assessments 
• Reviewing and monitoring the development of relevant program, engineering, and logistic documentation and artifacts
• Collaborating with various PMA-271 IPTs and other NAVAIR organizations to assist in developing improvement opportunities for systems supporting PMA-271 missions
• Developing and tracking process metrics and identifying problems that impact cost and schedule. These metrics include time-motion studies, shop floor layout, process optimization/streamlining to facilitate digital tool development/dashboard creation, resource planning/allocation, and modification schedule refinement.
• Generating and maintaining metrics, reports, briefs (Heads-up Display), and schedules for weekly Navy leadership and stakeholder updates
• Supporting Continuous Improvement activities
• This position will require the ability for up to 50% travel 

Requirements

Who You Are:

•  A Bachelor of Science degree is desired
• Three or more years of relevant experience is required
• Demonstrated understanding of NAVAIR or DoD processes is required
• Technical experience working in a manufacturing/production environment is preferred
• Ability to convey information clearly and succinctly for high-ranking military personnel and government leadership
• Ability to foster positive relationships with cross-functional teams 
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal personnel and external stakeholders on program matters

• This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
