Ironmark is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Annapolis, MD

Overview: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for performing HR/ Payroll-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, payroll processing, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processes and administers all functions of bi-weekly payroll for 200 employees.
  • Run all reports associated with payroll and upload to external databases.
  • Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefits information to employees.
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Reports all Employment reports to various agencies (i.e. EEOC, VETS-4212, OSHA, etc.)
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, and temporary employees
  • Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Coaches Managers on Employee Performance matters.
  • Develops and maintains employee engagement program.
  • Assist in recruitment process by coordinating job postings, reviewing resumes, performing reference checks and telephone interviews.
  • Develop and implement (or assist with ) employee training and management training.
  • Onboarding of new hires.
  • Offboarding of departing employees.
  • Create content for internal employee newsletter
  • Process unemployment claims and assist in appeals when needed.
  • Keep employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in the HRIS system in a timely fashion
  • Administers 401k plan to include changes and reporting.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Education and Qualification Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree and three to five years of HR/ Payroll experience, or a master's degree in HR management and two years of experience in the HR/Payroll field, or seven years of experience in the HR/Payroll field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
  • Experience processing payroll in ADP workforce

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly
  • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects
  • Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
  • Regularly speak clearly so listeners can understand
  • Regularly understand the speech of another person
  • Frequently work in on projects that require deadlines
  • Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds
