Role – Accounting Support Specialist

General Description: We are seeking a versatile and proactive individual to join our team as an Accounting Specialist. This role involves providing administrative support and assistance to multiple departments within our office. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and multitasking skills. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of various departments and maintaining efficient office operations.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have worked in a fast-paced, growing office environment. The position will be in our Sioux Falls home office location which works closely with our administrative office in Gilbert, AZ. Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting is a must. Experience in both accounting/bookkeeping and customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Support the accounting team by handling various financial tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and documentation to support the accounting function.
• Act as a point of contact for our clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing high-quality customer service.
• Maintain client records, update policy information, and process policy changes accurately and efficiently.
• Perform general office administrative tasks, including managing incoming and outgoing mail, answering phone calls, and greeting visitors.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems, ensuring easy retrieval of documents and records as needed.
