Internova Travel Group is Hiring a Remote Accounts Receivable Specialist
Overview
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will support the accounting team in all collections functions. Administers and executes processes, including reconciling and maintaining client and commissions records, researching and resolving internal and external customer issues and responding appropriately, report generation.
** You will be required to be fully vaccinated with an approved COVID-19 vaccine and provide proof for this role before your first work date. **
This position is in-office, located in Midtown Manhattan. Hybrid an option for 2 days/week at home.
Responsibilities
- Posts cash receipts to the correct division, account, and invoice timely and accurately.
- Balances daily cash receipt input files to bank deposits totals including wires, ACHs, check deposits and credit card payments to ensure completeness.
- Confers with customers, vendors and travel advisors on short-paid balances, unidentified payments, and possible process enhancements.
- Partners with the team and management by quickly bringing issues to their attention, working to understand the root cause and offering potential solutions.
- Monitor Service Desk and make sure all tickets are closed in a timely manner.
- Review a vendor receivable unclaimed commissions report on a weekly basis and request additional booking details from the suppliers and (or) agents if necessary.
- Reconcile and post credit card payments, refunds and resolve disputes daily.
- May assist in other A/R functions and special projects as time and workload permits.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience with Accounts Receivable
- High degree of familiarity with AR functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Intermediate to Advance Excel Skills
- Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinker, with autonomy and problem-solving capabilities
- 2- or 4-year degree in finance or accounting preferred but not required
- Experience in Agresso and NetSuite a plus
- Knowledge of the travel industry a plus
