We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical accounting and be proficient in various accounting software, including Sage. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payment collection. This is a vital role within our organization, and we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
```Duties```
- Process customer invoices and send them out in a timely manner
- Monitor customer accounts for any outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments
- Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or issues with payments
- Communicate with customers regarding payment inquiries and resolve any billing disputes
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of all transactions and collections
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate invoicing and payment processing
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
```Qualifications```
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related field
- Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and general accounting principles
- Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly Sage
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to negotiate payment terms with customers effectively
- Familiarity with governmental accounting regulations is a plus
- Experience in medical collections or corporate accounting is preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
