Psychiatrist Nurse Practitioner (NPP)

Location: Crown Heights

REPORTS TO: Medical Director

Interborough Developmental and Consultation Center is seeking Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP/NPP) to work in our behavioral health article 31 outpatients clinic.

LANGUAGE: SPANISH SPEAKING PREFERRED

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Must be a NYS Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Psychiatry.
• ANCC Certification required
• ASAM Certification required;
• At least 2 years of experience.

BASIC FUNCTION:

The NP will work collaboratively with mental health providers and practice with the guidelines set by NYS Health Department laws, NYS Office of Mental Health and NYS Education Department licensing guidelines

JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Evaluation and Assessment.

2. Medication Evaluation

3. On-going pharmacologic treatment

5. Participates in incident review as needed

6. Participates in treatment planning

7. Participates in case conferences as needed
