Project Manager
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing various projects to enhance the delivery of healthcare services to our community. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with hospital staff, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the successful completion of projects within established timelines and budgets.
These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, following the mission, values, and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and guests.
Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage healthcare-related projects, such as facility expansions, process improvements, and technology implementations.
  2. Collaborate with department heads to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with Insight Chicago hospital’s goals.
  3. Work closely with medical staff, administrators, and community leaders to gather input and support for project initiatives.
  4. Communicate project updates and milestones to stakeholders, fostering a sense of community involvement.
  5. Ensure that all projects adhere to relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
  6. Conduct regular assessments and audits as needed.
  7. Coordinate with department heads to allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and funding.
  8. Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and fiscal responsibility.
  9. Implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  10. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to project outcomes.
  11. Develop and deliver training programs for hospital staff affected by project changes.
  12. Oversee the smooth implementation of new processes, technologies, or facilities.
Skills and Abilities:
  1. Ability to create and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  2. Understanding of healthcare operations, regulations, and compliance standards.
  3. Familiarity with medical terminology and the unique challenges faced by healthcare providers.
  4. Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  5. Excellent communication skills to convey project updates, goals, and outcomes to various audiences.
  6. Ability to coordinate and allocate resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and funding.
  7. Financial acumen to manage project budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  8. Experience in developing and delivering training programs for staff affected by project changes.
  9. Ensuring a smooth transition during the implementation of new processes, technologies, or facilities.
  10. Ability to make decisions and solve problems effectively, especially in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  11. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, unexpected challenges, and evolving healthcare trends.
  12. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  13. Openness to input and feedback from diverse perspectives.
  14. Proactive identification and mitigation of project risks.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's and or Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification- preferred.
