**Job Description:**
**Overview:**
As a Mid-Level Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for the migration of an Oracle database to Amazon Web Services (AWS). Additionally, you will assist in evaluating alternative database providers and support decision-making processes based on business needs and technical considerations.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Requirement Gathering:** Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements related to the database migration project. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather input from key stakeholders.
2. **Business Process Analysis:** Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges and opportunities related to the migration project.
3. **Requirements Documentation:** Document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories in a clear and concise manner. Create use cases, process flows, and data dictionaries to facilitate understanding and communication of requirements.
4. **Requirements Prioritization:** Work with stakeholders to prioritize business requirements based on their value, complexity, and dependencies. Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to define release schedules and sprint backlogs.
5. **Stakeholder Communication:** Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and project sponsors. Provide regular updates on project progress, requirements changes, and risks/issues.
6. **Data Analysis:** Assist in analyzing data migration requirements and mapping legacy data structures to target database schemas. Collaborate with database architects and data migration specialists to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
7. **Solution Evaluation:** Assist in evaluating alternative database providers to Oracle, considering factors such as performance, scalability, and cost. Participate in vendor evaluations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept exercises.
8. **User Acceptance Testing (UAT):** Support user acceptance testing activities by creating test cases, coordinating test execution, and documenting test results. Work with business users to validate that the migrated database meets their needs and expectations.
9. **Training and Documentation:** Develop training materials, user guides, and documentation to support end-users in transitioning to the new database environment. Conduct training sessions and workshops to ensure users are proficient in using the new system.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in IT or software development projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with database concepts and SQL queries is a plus.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
