Raye IT Consulting is Hiring a Business Analyst Near Washington, DC

Raye IT Consulting is looking for a dynamic Business Analyst to join our team. You will provide professional support services to a government client within the Washington, D.C. area. In this role you will help the client to make informed decisions on integrating innovative technology into everyday use by the OPM enterprise and business divisions.
Business Analyst responsibilities:
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and document them in a clear and structured manner.
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Propose solutions to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Work with data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can help inform business decisions. Involves gathering and analyzing data from various sources, 
  • Create reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research, compare differing options against defined requirements, and assess the feasibility of implementation.
  • Document requirements, processes, and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, ensuring all relevant parties are informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Take direction and support project managers responsible for their assigned projects.
  • Coordinate activity with other Business Analysts, Project Managers, and leadership for adopting and improving current practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of IT program/project business process re-engineering
  • Experience developing complex reports and dashboards
  • Strong experience in the IT and understanding of different technologies involved in change management including: different environments, networking, internet, application servers, and cybersecurity topics
  • Proficient with SharePoint, Remedy, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Expertise with both agile and waterfall environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance
  • Agile certifications, such as SAFe Agilist or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) (Preferred)
  • Experience developing complex reports and dashboards using MS Power BI or Tableau. (Preferred)
  • Experience supporting MS Project Server and/or MS Project Online, including system administration tasks (Preferred)

  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
  • Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude
  • Strong stakeholder management, including advising and influencing clients regarding process improvement initiatives, and working positively and sensitively alongside client stakeholders
