Infinite consulting Corporation is Hiring an Estimator Near New York, NY

The Role:
The Estimator shall review construction estimates with supporting documentation including Contractor price proposals and supporting documentation of drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, vendor/subcontractor quotes, market analysis, and other related documents to determine if the proposed construction cost has been developed in regard to supporting documentation, project location, schedule and local labor conditions.
** Junior Estimator and/or Estimator opportunities - dependent on experience level**
Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation presented by the client, to accurately prepare and estimate projects.
  • Collaborate with project leads and leadership to develop steel erection estimates as a part of the larger scope package
  • Prepare detail oriented and accurate estimates on new projects and estimate prices for any change orders on existing contracts, meeting assigned deadlines.
  • Prepare “Take Offs” of steel materials, estimate all necessary shop labor and field erection, estimate materials, buyout items and equipment cost etc. to prepare a thorough bid estimate.
  • Read and interpret job bid instructions, detailed specifications, prepare a “take off” of materials included in the job, estimate all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, equipment costs (including crane costs) to prepare a thorough price estimate.
  • Work directly with Sales and Pre-construction Teams to understand size and scope of projects along with timelines and applicable project deadlines.
  • Be comfortable to discuss alternative recommendations on projects in which management requires alternative estimates to meet client needs.
  • Prepare pricing estimates on new projects and estimate prices on change orders on existing contracts and summarize results with appropriate leaders to ensure all aspects of job.
Necessary Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other related field (or equivalent years’ experience).
  • Experience: Junior Estimator (1-3 years) OR Estimator (3 years) of experience in construction estimation required.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain estimates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in construction estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective working relationships.

Salary range for these positions are dependent on experience and the level at which candidates are hired at, either Junior Estimator or Estimator. The range is set between $65-110k dependent on experience. Please apply now for consideration!
