Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately estimating project costs and ensuring cost control measures are implemented. If you have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and possess excellent negotiation skills, we encourage you to apply.
Duties:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to determine project requirements
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms
- Utilize software programs such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create comprehensive estimates
- Analyze project scope changes and revise estimates accordingly
- Prepare bid packages and submit proposals to clients
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required
- Maintain accurate records of estimating data and ensure all documentation is organized
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices
- Proficiency in project management techniques
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
