Indiana Eye Doctors is a progressive private practice located inside Lenscrafters in Lafayette, IN. We are seeking a full time Office Manager who is friendly, energetic, organized, detail oriented with excellent communication skills to join and grow with our team!
Operational Management:
-Oversee the overall operations of the office, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and adherence to quality standards. This includes proper operations and participation in all office roles and supporting staff in training and developmental areas.
-Implement operational policies and procedures to optimize workflow and enhance patient care delivery.
-Implement and enforce quality assurance measures to guarantee the highest standards of patient care.
-Ensure complete patient confidentiality as established by the practice policies and HIPAA.
-Coordinate with office staff to ensure practice operations are running as planned.
-Address any patient concerns with patience and a caring attitude.
Team Leadership:
-Recruit, train, and supervise office staff.
-Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development opportunities for team members.
-Collaborate with the team to create a patient-first environment focused on exceptional service and care.
-Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork among all office staff.
-Participate in ongoing training opportunities to enhance leadership and management skills.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
-Verify vision insurance eligibility and file insurance claims.
-Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
-Pre-test patients for eye examinations.
-Order/Process patient contact lens orders.
-Train new contact lens wearers.
-Maintain/clean office and exam rooms.
-Maintain contact lens trial inventory.
Office Hours:
-Monday - Friday 10:00AM-6:00PM
-Saturday 10:00AM-6:00PM
-Sunday 12:00PM-4:00PM
Qualifications and skills:
-GED or High School Diploma
-Prior experience in an optometry or healthcare office setting.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong leadership, management, and team-building skills.
-Strong analytical and computer skills.
-Comprehension of patient-facing vision and medical insurance benefits.
-Electronic Health Records and Practice Management software experience preferred, but not required.
-Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
-Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
